Vow of the Blackwater ✦ Direction, Production, Narrative Design
Vow of the Blackwater is centered on an original fantasy world. It is a collaborative project building a full campaign and custom content for tabletop roleplaying games. Aside from directing and producing the project, I am its lead narrative designer. These are samples of relevant writing done for this world, including dialogue, cinematics, barks, and descriptions.

The Templar

One of countless warriors resurrected by the Lightlord, the Templar is an undying being bound to eternal purpose. They are souls of conviction and valor granted a second chance after their mortal deaths, ever avowed to battle the Dark Beyond. When they fall, they find themselves rebirthed by the branches of Heimr, the World Tree. Their backgrounds, paths, and beliefs are vastly varied and only grow moreso as time passes — especially now, long after the Calamity when the gods have fallen silent.

Credence
A strange inventor-scholar who says he is from a Realm that does not exist. Credence’s cold, humorless exterior conceals the unspoken care he holds for his allies. He seems to take interest in ancient humanity, and harbors a deep hatred for most of the gods. Though he may come off as aloof, his knowledge of the world and the forces destroying it are unparalleled — as is his conviction.

A seasoned wandering swordsman and steadfast ally to the Templar, Wainwright first introduces himself as another blade of the Lightlord, though he certainly does not seem the typical part. Enigmatic and apparently occupied with other matters as he is, he still aids wherever possible, both lethal in combat and a loyally grounded companion. His easygoing, kind-willed nature should not be mistaken for ignorance.
